Hargeisa (SD) – A plane carrying humanitarian medical supplies from the United Arab Emirates has arrived in Hargeisa this morning.

The donated medical supplies consist of prevention equipment and coping medications for Covid-19.

Somaliland’s health and finance ministers spoking to the media both thanked the UAE government for their assistance at a time when the world supply of medicines is limited, and travel is restricted.

This is the largest medical aid to Somaliland since the outbreak, following an unprecedented shipment from a Chinese businessman earlier.

Somaliland is at higher risk as the country’s airport is open and Ethiopian airlines is still bringing passengers to the country.
