Mogadishu (SD) – Somalia’s acting Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia Dr. Abdirahman Duale Bayle held a video conference with members of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to discuss the impact of covid-19 on the country’s economy.
Somalia’s finance minister said the conference was organized by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank and was also attended by African finance ministers, but focused on how the continent could work together to minimize the COVID-19 impacts on the continent’s economy.
“I attended a joint meeting of the IMF and the World Bank, attended by African finance ministers, and we discussed how we could work together on the impact of Covid-19 on the continent”. Said the acting the Finance Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia.
Finally, the Acting Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia Dr. Abdirahman Duale Bayle thanked both agencies for their continued support to the Somali government.
