Mogadishu (SD) – The caretaker Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mahdi Mohamed Guled, has today unveiled the Institute of Security Studies, a state-owned higher education institution.

A statement from PM Mahdi Guled’s office said the purpose of the institute was to increase the knowledge, skills and awareness of members of the government’s security services, and that the country’s top leadership receive professional advice and analysis on national security.

PM Mahdi Mohamed Guled, said that the opening of this institute is a major step towards improving security in the country.

The MP also noted that the government has made lots efforts to improve security and has succeeded in reforming the country’s security sector.
