Mogadishu (SD) – The security minister of the care taker government Mohamed Abukar Islow Duale who addressed the Mudolod community consultative meeting today, talked about the country’s election issues.

Minister Duale called on President Farmajo and his government to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors and hold elections on time.

The minster also stressed the need for the election to take place on time and not a single day extension will not be tolerated.

“The election must take place on time. Not a day can be extended. President Sheikh Sharif held it on time, as has President Hassan Sheikh, and Farmajo must follow in the footsteps of his predecessors,” Duale said.

It is noteworthy that the presidents mentioned by the minister have themselves extended their terms.

Somali security minister Mohamed Abukar Islow Duale, is yet to appear at a Somali Cabinet meeting since Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre was sacked by parliament.
