Bardhere June 21, 2023 (SD) -An intense explosion occurred today in the heart of Bardhere district in Gedo region, targeting a military base housing Somali and AMISOM forces.

Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for two consecutive powerful bombings targeting the ADC forces’ base, stating that the explosions were carried out by Ethiopian soldiers stationed at the ADC base.

According to Al-Shabaab’s claim, the first explosion, which was massive, specifically targeted the ADC base where Ethiopian commanders were present, and they also mentioned that the second explosion targeted reinforcement troops.

Al-Shabaab stated that these series of bombings inflicted casualties and damages on Ethiopian forces, and they also claimed to have destroyed several military vehicles in the attack.
