Kismayo September 29,2022 (SD) – The Al-Shabaab group in Southern Somalia today shot dead six men in a public square in Kuunyo Barow district of Lower Shabelle region.
The executed men were accused by Al-Shabaab of being spies working for US intelligence and the Federal Government of Somalia.
“These six were accused of plotting acts of conspiracy to kill Muslim people as they were the eyes of both local and international intelligence.” said a statement issued by the group and published by media houses affiliated with the militants.
It is not the first time that Al Shabaab carried out this type of sentence, and the group has previously executed men they accused of being spies for the Somali Government and other intelligence agencies.
