DHUSAMAREB-Al-Shabaab declares they have killed at least seven Gorgor soldiers in a heavy fighting on the outskirts of Dhusamareb.

A statement from Al-Shabaab stated that 12 other soldiers have been wounded in the fighting, while Al-Shabaab also said they had seized weapons and ammunitions from them.

Online media outlets published pictures retrieved from Al-shabaab, of the bodies of Gorgor soldiers and the weapons recovered, including smaller weapons and bullets.
The fighting took place in Sina-dhaqo village, about 10km from Ceeldheere Village on the outskirts of Dhusamareb.

Meanwhile, Somali military officials say they have killed a senior Al-Shabaab official in Galgadud region in an operation in areas under the control of Dhusamareb and Guriel towns in the region.

Commander of the Armed Forces, General Odowa Yusuf Rage, told the Radio of the Armed Forces, that the slain officer was identified as (Canjeeh) and was a representative of Al-Shabaab in the Galgadud region.
