DJIBOUTI- The President of the Djibouti Republic, Ismail Omar Guelleh, received this morning, at the Palais de la Republique, Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, Mr. Issa Kayd Mahamoud, led by a high-level delegation, for a work visit of 72 hours in Djibouti.

The visit of the Somaliland Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to Djibouti, was to discuss the strengthening of the multiform partnerships and common interests that the two parties maintain in several sectors including, trade and security.

The meeting serves an essentially framework for the identification of new initiatives that may increase the level of economic exchanges between the Republic of Djibouti and Somaliland.

The discussions then highlighted the need for the two parties sharing a common border to intensify their security cooperation, which is essential for a successful commercial integration.

To also note the presence at this meeting was the Representative of the Republic of Djibouti to Somaliland, Mr. Hussein Omar Kawalieh.
