Mogadishu (SD) – Al-Shabaab-affiliated media published for the first time the names and videos of the men who attacked the DusitD2 hotel in Nairobi in 2019.
The 7-minute video captures the group’s attack and aftermath on the DusitD2 Hotel in Nairobi.
The attack resulted in casualties, with the Kenyan government announcing at the time that 21 people had been killed and more injured.
Five men who carried out the attack are pictured here, and some footage recorded as they prepared for the attack.
The five people al-Shabaab claimed to have carried out the attack were Ali Salim Gichunge Abu Sakeena, Osman Ahmed Hassan Azzam, Mahir Khalid Riziki Jibril, Muhammad Adan Nur Farhan Yare and Abdulqani Arab Yusuf Farhan Dheere.
