Mogadishu (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, attended the funeral prayers for the late Prime Minister of the Transitional Federal Government and the leader of Khatumo, Ali Khalif Galeyr, in Mogadishu.
When the plane carrying the body of the late Ali Khalif Galeyr landed at Aden Adde International Airport, the coffin was covered with the flag of the Republic and was unloaded by units of the Somali National Army.
After the funeral, President Farmajo offered his condolences to the family of the deceased, some of whom he met at the funeral, and prayed for God’s patience and mercy, and to make Jannatul Firdowsa his home.
The funeral was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia Mahdi Mohamed Guled, the Vice President of Puntland Ahmed Elmi Osman, the Governor Benadir Mayor of Mogadishu Omar Mohamud Mohamed, Ministers, Parliamentarians, Relatives of the Deceased, Traditional Elders and various segments of the society.
The late Ali Khalif Galeyr, the former Prime Minister of the country will be remembered for his efforts in bringing peace, rebuilding the country, developing and rescuing the Somali people.
