Mogadishu (SD) – A press release from AMISOM Force Commander, gave details of clashes between AMISOM and Al Shabab on Friday in Bilis Qooqaani, Lower Juba, Somalia.

The AMISOM statement said that their troops and Jubaland soldiers in the Lower Jubba region had stopped the attack, inflicting heavy losses on al-Shabab.

AMISOM said in the statement that it had killed three al-Shabab members and had captured others alive.
