Mogadishu (SD) – The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) says it is prosecuting Ugandan soldiers who killed civilians in Golweyn, Lower Shabelle region on August 10, 2021.

The statement from AMISOM said the perpetrators would be brought to justice in Somalia.

AMISOM also said that a commission of inquiry had concluded its investigation into the killings and that Ugandan troops were behind the killings.
