MOGADISHU (SD)-The news coming from Middle Shabelle region indicates that al-Shabaab has once again attacked a military base located in Daaru Nimca district of the Middle Shabelle region.

Reports confirm that the SNA forces received information about an impending attack by al-Shabaab militants, after which they evacuated the base. However, the two sides eventually engaged in a battle.

Officials from the national army, have stated that there are casualties and injuries. Still, the exact number is not yet known.

Al-Shabaab has intensified attacks during the month of Ramadan, they carried out attacks in Busleey, Sanguuni, Xinlabi, SYL Hotel, and today’s attack on Daaru Nimca.

Daaru Nimca is a strategically important location and was liberated from al-Shabaab in early 2023. In June 2023, al-Shabaab militants attacked the Daaru Nimca base, and they also attacked it again in September 2023.
