MOGADISHU (SD) -The Banadir Regional Court today, sentenced Sayed Ali Moalim Daoud to death for the murder of his late wife, Luul Abdiasis.

The Chairman of the Banadir Regional Court, Salah Ali Mahamoud, stated that the accused was found guilty of having intentionally burned his wife, citing the evidence gathered in the case.

The verdict in the case of Sayed Ali Moalim, which has undergone various stages, was welcomed by the family members of Luul Abdiasis Mohamed.

On the other hand, the family of the convicted expressed their strong opposition to the verdict issued by the Banadir Regional Court against their son today.

They expressed concern that the court’s decision may be influenced by external pressures and prejudices, as they believe Sayed Ali was wrongly convicted of murdering his wife, and they vowed to appeal the verdict.
