Blast in Mogadishu targets Aid workers

MOGADISHU (SD) -A powerful explosion, suspected to be a landmine, rocked the Garasbaley district in Mogadishu today.

According to reports, the targeted vehicle was carrying Turkish nationals and other Somali individuals.

The explosion resulted in an specified significant casualties and injuries among the Turkish nationals and the accompanying security personnel. It is reported that the affected individuals did not receive immediate medical assistance.

Security forces arrived at the scene later to assist the injured and manage the aftermath of the explosion. The rescue operation included evacuating those wounded in the blast and retrieving the bodies of those killed.

Landmine explosions in various parts of Mogadishu have been frequent lately, causing casualties and injuries among innocent civilians caught in the attacks.
