HARGEISA (SD) – The Center for Policy Analysis in Horn of Africa recently penned a report detailing the current electoral dispute in Somaliland. the report is appropriately titled SOMALILAND’S RENEWED STALEMATE: THE CONSEQUENCE OF EXTENSIONS, it meticulously dissects the peaceful enclave’s perpetual electoral mess, fuelled by term extensions, unelected upper house that continually extends not just its term but also the president, the municipal and lower house. the report lays out these and other state building issues and proposes ways to fix them once and for all.
