Jigjiga October 11, 2023 (SD) -The news coming from the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, confirms that a Cholera outbreak has affected the residents of Jigjiga, as stated by the Somali Regional State Health Office.

The Health Office also mentioned that the outbreak was observed in some districts of the Somali Regional State, but it has now been confirmed to have affected Jigjiga city and its surroundings.

The office did not disclose the exact number of people affected by the outbreak, but they issued a public health advisory urging the residents to take precautions.

They emphasized the importance of reporting any suspected cases promptly to health facilities to contain the spread of the disease.

Reports indicate that up to two individuals have died from the Cholera outbreak in Jigjiga, and several others have been admitted to the hospitals in the city.
