Kismayo (SD) – The 5th Brigade, the 16th Battalion of Danab Commandos and the Jubbaland State of the Darawish was carried out a joint operation in Bula Haji and Lagta Anole areas of Lower Juba region.

Al-Shabaab militants are said to be have been in control of the area for a longtime.

“The operation destroyed terrorist places where they used to extort money from civilians and other places where they used to harass people,” said a Danab military official.

The operation took place after the troops responded to a request from the people living in the areas where the joint operation was carried out.
