Family of siblings killed by Police in Mogadishu demand Justice

Mogadishu (SD) – The family of two siblings killed by the Police last night in Mogadishu have demanded justice, and have decided not to bury the dead in the hands of government forces.

The two were killed last night at the Maka Al-Mukarama intersection on a Bajaj motorcycle after being shot at by government soldiers.

Zakariya Mohamud Hussein Kalafoge and his sister Sowdo were taken to Somali Sudanese hospital where their relatives told the media that the bodies of the victims would not be buried until their killers were brought to justice.

Abdirashid Mohamud Hussein Kalafoge, a brother of the slain victims, said his two siblings were killed deliberately and that were not harming anyone.

The family called on the Federal Government of Somalia, the Benadir Regional Administration to take immediate action against the soldiers behind the killings of Zakaria and Sowdo, accusing the security agencies of not contacting them and taking no action.
