Qoryooley (SD) – The Armed Forces, in particular the 4th DANAB Commandos has carried out planned operations in the past few hours in areas under the control of Awdheegle and Qoryooley districts in Lower Shabelle region.

Officials said the operation destroyed an al-Shabaab court in the villages of Adiimoole and Degwariiri between Tooratorow and Qoryooley districts.

The Somali National Army (SNA) also conducted operations in the villages of Dar es Salaam and Mubarak, where heavy fighting broke out between DANAB Commandos and Al-Shabaab fighters.

Commander of the 83rd Brigade, Colonel Nurdin Moalim Hussein, told state media that four officers and seven al-Shabaab members had been killed in the operation in Lower Shabelle.
