BOSSASO (SD) – Reports from Bossaso the capital of Bari region say that a heavy explosion took place in the port city late yesterday afternoon, causing various casualties.
The blast, which was a landmine, occurred at a tea shop near Bossaso’s Maruf neighborhood, at a time when lots patrons were gathered at the popular tea shop.
Three people have been confirmed killed and several others injured in the blast, according to Puntland Police officials.
The Bossaso security forces could be seen conducting a search operation for the perpetrators of the blast that took place in Bossaso.
However, Bossaso has been hit by a series of landmine, suicide bombings and assassinations in the past, with most of the insecurity claimed by Al-Shabaab and ISIS.
