GAROWE (SD) – The President of Puntland Regional State of Somalia Said Abdullahi Deni, has last night officially announced his candidacy for the presidency of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Speaking at an event in Garowe, President Deni called on all Somali parliamentarians and presidential candidates to unite to replace the current administration led by President Farmajo.
President Said Deni pointed out that his main goal is to remove the outgoing President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
“I and the people of Puntland, members of both Houses of Parliament and other states and the people of Somalia, look forward to working together for a visible and democratic transition. a system that works for development, a system that promotes goodness and harmony, a system that resolves people’s differences, and keeps divisions and society at bay. ” Deni said.
Said Deni’s announcment follows a rumor that he was preparing for the country’s top leadership election, based on the way he handled the election of members of both Houses of the Federal Parliament.
