Djibouti (SD) -Djibouti has recorded the most cases of Coronavirus today since the outbreak of the disease in the country.             

Djibouti’s Ministry of Health has announced 83 new cases today, most of them from the Ali-Sabhih region of the country.

The total number of people infected with the disease in Djibouti is 298 and more than 4,000 people are said to have been screened, according to a letter from the Ministry of Health.

Two people have been confirmed to have died of the disease in Djibouti and the country is placed on a state curfew.

Poor people are said to have been significantly impacted by the curfew and as they approach the holy month of Ramadan as well as the risk of the disease increases.
