Djibouti (SD) – The Djiboutian government has arrested family members of Fu’ad Yusuf Ali, amid ongoing demonstration demanding the release of the decorated officer.

The wife of the pilot who spoke to local media confirmed that the Djibouti government has arrested a 16-year-old daughter of the detained pilot and three other family members.

The arrest of the family members comes while huge protests are taking place in Djibouti, after the government’s ill treatment of the officer serviced on social media.

The demonstrations havespread to other parts of Djibouti and are still ongoing, demanding that the citizen be freed, people are also protesting against Ismail Omar Guelleh’s dictotorial rule.
