Djibouti (SD) -Fishermen who had been missing for nearly a month off the coast of Somaliland have been found safe in Djibouti’s waters.
While carrying out their regular patrol duties, Djibouti’s Coast Guard rescued three fishermen who had set sail from Berbera a month ago.
The fishermen reported that their boat had suffered a battery failure, causing them to drift at sea for 19 days.
Djibouti’s coast guard officials stated that they are now assisting the fishermen in returning to their home areas in Somaliland.
The three men confirmed that they are in good health and expressed gratitude for the hospitality and support they received from the Djiboutian authorities as they prepare to return home.
