Cairo January 10, 2023 (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Xamse Cabdi Barre, during an official visit to Egypt, met with the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mustafa Madbuli.

The two Prime Ministers discussed the improvement and strengthening of the cultural, economic, and trade relations between the two countries of Somalia and Egypt, with Egypt committing to support Somalia in its rebuilding and development.

After the meeting, the two governments officially signed agreements on issues such as education, media, religion, endowments, and culture.

The agreements were signed on behalf of Somalia by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abshir Cumar Huruse, the Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education Faarax Sheikh Abdulkadir, and the Minister of Media, Culture and Tourism Da’ud Aweys Jama.
