Eid prayers with Somali leaders: Djibouti, Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Baidoa and Jigjiga.

Mogadishu (SD) – Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, who addressed hundreds of people at the presidential palace mosque, congratulated them on Eid al-Fitr.

Roble called for help for the poor and destitute, and the community to work together for peace and stability in the country.

The president of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh performed his duty as a believer this morning by praying the Aid Al Fitr prayer at Djama Aouled ground.

“As the Muslim community celebrates Eid, I deplore and condemn the violence and barbarism suffered these days by the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, especially in the holy city of Al-Quds. Here I want to reiterate the unwavering solidarity of the people of Djibouti with their Palestinian brothers.” said the president in a released statement.

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, addressed the public at the Eid prayers in Hargeisa, giving words of wisdom.

“We have been convinced that we are poor and we cannot do anything, brothers and sisters, God has given us wealth today. If we pay 2.5% of the zakat, we will be able to meet all our needs,” he said.

After the prayers, the President met with the people at the Casood and the Ambassador Hotels in Hargeisa.

President Mustafe Omar participated Eid prayers at Jigjiga football stadium today, and prayed for the suffering Palestinians.

People gathered at the stadium today were not able to pray there last year due to fears of Covid 19 disease.

The president of South West state Laftagareen has today participated Eid prayers in Baidoa with that city’s residents.

Eid al-Fitr prayers were held in the cities of all the Somali regions today, attended by officials and thousands of people.
