NY (SD) -Tesfaye Yilma Sabo, the Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Nations, expressed concern over a recent report submitted to the UN Security Council by a report recently submitted by the Permanent Envoy of Somalia to the United Nations regarding security issues.
The report addresses Ethiopia’s MoU agreement with Somaliland which caused tensions between Somalia and Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian Ambassador confirmed that Ethiopia’s military presence in the region aims to maintain peace and stability, addressing any security threats that could arise and potentially destabilize the maritime.
Tesfaye Yilma Sabo said the current development in Somalia was achieved through thousands of Ethiopian soldiers who died in the war against international terrorism in Somalia.
The Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Nations stated that his country is ready to hold talks with Somalia and establish a sustainable peace agreement between the two neighboring countries.
