Addis Ababa November 10, 2022 (SD) – The Ethiopian government said it has arrested a hundred young people on their way to join Al Shabaab fighters in Somalia.

Ethiopia’s defense forces told local media they’ve arrested more than 100 youths who wanted to leave the country and join Al Shabaab.

Military leaders said these youths were brainwashed to leave the country and join Al-Shabaab, adding that Al-Shabaab continues its efforts to enter Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian government announced recently that they have killed scores of Al Shabaab fighters in recent battles with the militants, who wanted to enter Ethiopia and set up bases in Ethiopia.

Al Shabaab has not yet responded to the latest allegations by the Ethiopian government forces.
