Hargeisa (SD) – A delegation led by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Ridwan Hussein has arrived in the Somaliland capital of Hargeisa for an official visit today.

Liban Yusuf Osman, Somaliland’s outgoing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the delegation upon arrival at Egal Airport in Hargeisa.

So far, neither the foreign ministry nor the Somaliland government has issued a statement on the visit of the Ethiopian officials.

The delegation’s visit coincided with a reshuffle of Somaliland’s foreign ministry officials, with the appointment of a new minister and deputy minister.

The delegation’s visit also comes at a time when the Ethiopian government is at war with the TPLF rebels.
