Jigjiga (SD) – A large number of military vehicles from Ethiopia were seen crossing over into neighboring Somalia, according to Khalid Fodhadhi, a Somali reporter.

These military vehicles crossing over to Somalia were listed as African Union (AU) but displayed Ethiopian plate numbers.

There is a large African Union contingent in Somalia and at times the Ethiopian forces in Somalia are used for political reasons by the federal government.

Its not clear whether these Ethiopian troops will be used in Jubaland, where the federal government have been traying to assert its will.

Neither the Somali government nor the Ethiopian government has commented on the alleged vehicle transport to South and Central Somalia.
