Mogadishu (SD) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, who opened the 7th session of parliament, spoke about restarting the Somalia and Somaliland talks.
Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo said that Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi has accepted the resumption of bilateral talks, and that everything is done through brotherhood, dialogue and mutual understanding.
President Farmajo emphasized defending the unity and sovereignty of Somalia, both sea and the air, and wished the talks to be fruitful.
“The Somali people are brothers and sisters, who can’t do without each other and I welcome the words of my brother Muse Bihi Abdi who accepted to resume talks, we can resolve our differences with brotherhood, dialogue and understanding”. Said Farmajo.
The presidents words come as Somaliland president on multiple occations rejected the proposed talks in public.
