Ankara (SD) – The mayor of Togdher region of Somaliland, Mr. Hamse Mohamed Abdi, who was in Turkey for a treatment has died there yesterday, the deputy mayor of Togdher region Mohamed Abdullahi Ibrahim (Nafaqo) confirmed the sad news to local media.

Deputy Governor of Togdher Region Mohamed Abdullahi Ibrahim sent his deepest condolences to the family, relatives and the people of Togdher region, where he prayed to God for his mercy in heaven and to provide his family with patience and faith.

The mayor of Togdher region Mr. Hamse Mohamed Abdi a kidney failure, and he was the Somaliland governor of Gabiley in Ahmed Silanyo’s government, and for last two years, President Muse Bihi Abdi appointed him to be the mayor of Togdher region.

According to the Togdher community, the Governor was a young man who was diligent in his work, always working towards peace and development in Togdher region.
