Mogadishu (SD) – The Chairperson of the Federal Electoral Commission Mr. Muse Guelleh Yusuf along with the Head of International Relations Mohamed Muse and the Head of Administration and Finance Abdi Udan met with the UK Ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster.

Chairman Muse Guelleh and his collogues met with Ambassador Mrs. Kate to discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country and the challenges ahead.

The two sides underlined the importance of holding elections in a transparent, credible and timely manner.

Parliamentary elections in some regional administrations and in Mogadishu are said to be marred by corruption and several candidates have been barred from running for parliament.
