Dhusamareb (SD) – Reports from Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state of Somalia, say that Friday’s member states leaders have been postponed.
Regional leaders held separate meetings last night, deciding that the conference should be officially opened on Saturday, as today’s meeting coincides with Friday, a Muslim holiday.
All heads of regional member states including Jubaland, Puntland, Galmudug, Hirshabelle and South West, all of whom are currently in Dhusamareb, are expected to attend the meetings.
The main issues slated to discussed in the meetings include, the upcoming elections, Conflict with Federal & State Heads, Security Issues and Constitutional Review.
Sources in Dhusamareb are also speculating unconfirmed news that PM Hassan Ali Kheyre is planning to attend the member states meeting in Dhusamareb, a move that would indicate fracture among federal leaders.
