Galkayo (SD) – At least two people have been killed and three others injured in clashes between Puntland security forces and armed groups in Garsor district town in Galkayo.

Puntland security forces were in Garsor district conducting operations targeting Alcohol traffickers were met with resistance from a group of alcohol dealers, police officials confirmed.

Puntland security officials confirmed their forces destroyed a liquor depot in the process and arrested unspecified number of members of the group,

The regional forces are seen continuing their operations in Galkayo tonight by residence, the situation seems to have calmed down since yesterdays clashes.
