BOSSASO (SD) -The Somali government has canceled flights to the Bossaso Airport, affecting flights from Daallo Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines scheduled to land there today.

Reports indicate that the Somali Civil Aviation Authority notified Daallo Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines of tensions between the Puntland government and the Puntland Security Force (PSF) in Bosaaso. Aviation officials confirmed this information.

In response, Puntland authorities warned Dallo Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines that they could not land in Garowe if they complied with the federal government’s directive.

The situation in Bossaso is tense, prompting some residents to begin evacuating the city due to fears of potential conflict.
