Feds put pressure on Airliners flying to Kismayo

Mogadishu (SD) – The Aden Adde airport administration and the Somali government today has confined all the united airliners consortium at Aden Adde International Airport for a meeting.

They were told they will be questioned by the airport’s management and members of the security forces, airline managers were asked about flights to Kismayo.

Airliners linked to Puntland and Jubaland were not invited to the discussion.

Its not yet public the details of the meeting the government had had with the airlines, and what the governments plans are for those who are still flying to Kismayo.

The Somali Federal Government has imposed a flight ban on Kismayo, allowing local flights out of Mogadishu going to Kismayo.
