Somalia: COVID-19 Cases hits a New High

Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali federal government’s health ministry, in its daily Coronavirus report, confirmed that 19 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, of which 13 were men and 6 were women.

11 people have recovered from the disease.18 of the new patients are registered in Benadir region, and one patient in Southwest.

The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 601, and a total of 31 have been recovered. 28 people have died in the country.
This is the first day in which 11 people have been cured of the disease, and it is the second day in the country that a new death by COVID-19 is not registered.

The Minister of Health and Social Welfare of The Federal Government of Somalia, Fawziya Abikar Nur, has called on the Somali people to take medical advice and government directives as part of the COVID-19 pandemic control plan.
