Former PM: regional leaders are looting the Parliamentary seats

MOGADISHU (SD) -The Former Prime Minister of Somalia, Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, in a recent interview, height in on the current political situation in Somalia and the prolonged parliamentary election.

Omer Abdirashid alleged that the current elections are biased, and was a selections made by the individuals who are responsible for the election procedures.

‘‘First, the candidates are people who have been in the country for a long period of time and are aware of the political situation. It is not their fault that their seats were looted, but the individuals who looted it should be held accountable.” the former PM said.

Politician Omer Abdirashid criticized the regional administration leaders, accusing them of looting the seats in the parliamentary elections in their regions.

Somalia’s elections have taken more than a year to conclude and are currently scheduled to conclude on March 15, 2022.
