Hargeisa (SD) – Members of the Standing Committee of Somaliland’s House of Elders held a long meeting with the officials of Hargeisa Cultural Center today.

The chairman of the Hargeisa Cultural Center, Muse Jama, said that members of the House of Elders have the right to know what the cultural center stands for and what it does.

Dr. Jama pointed out that they discussed issues raised by the committee, He also mentioned that the members of the Standing Committee of the House of Elders will hold further meetings with officials from the Cultural Center in the coming days.

The chairman of the standing committee of the Somaliland House of Elders, Dayib Hassan Ahmed, said that they would brief the House of elders about the issues raised with the Hargeisa Cultural Center.

The Members of the Standing Committee of the Somaliland House of Elders visit to the Hargeisa Cultural Center comes at time when some in the community have in various ways criticized the Hargeisa Cultural Center in recent times.
