JOWHAR (SD) – The president of HirShabelle state Ali Gudlawe said 48 people died and108 others were injured in last night’s explosions in Beledweyne.
Ali Gudlawe sent his condolences to the families and friends of those killed in last night’s explosions in Beledweyne.
“The first blast was caused by a suicide bomber who targeted lawmaker Amina Mohamed Abdi, while the second blast was aimed at first responders of the blast,” said President Gudlawe.
The president called on residents of Beledweyne to remain vigilant during the elections and called on the security forces to be vigilant.
In Beledweyne, there were a number of targeted killings and explosions during the parliamentary elections that disrupted the capital of Hiran region.
