Washington (SD) – Ilhan Omar a Somali born member of the US House of Representatives from the state of Minnesota, took to Twitter to respond to recent allegations by President Donald Trump.
In a brief statement posted on her Twitter account that appeared to refer to his latest campaign statements on Friday and early Saturday.
“I would certainly reckon…not only Somalis, but myself, the governor of Michigan, our speaker, all love this country way more than the president, who is not only destroying the presidency but everything this country stands for.”
US President Donald Trump has previously saying “If you look at the House with Pelosi and these people, it’s like they hate Israel and they believe in Omar, who came in here and married her brother or something, came in illegally,” Trump said, adding “Come on, come on Justice. Let’s go Justice, Department of Justice.”
The Congresswoman replied “Donald Trump’s repeated unhinged, conspiratorial attacks on me and other prominent female politicians are not just sexist. They are leading to frequent threats against our lives, it has to stop”
The president has repeatedly attacked Ilhan Omar during his campaign for the US presidency.
