Dhusamareb (SD) – The President of Galmudug State of Somalia Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoor-qoor) held a face-to-face meeting with some representatives of the international community.

According to sources, the meeting discussed the recent security situation in Galmudug, in particular the tension between Galmudug and Ahlu Sunna in Guriel district and how best to resolve it.

A brief statement from the International Community Representatives said they discussed the importance of concluding the Upper House elections and launching the House of the People elections was also discussed.

The meeting between the representatives of the international community and the President of Galmudug comes at a time when there is tension between government and Galmudug forces and Ahlu Sunna in Guriel district.
