Mogadishu January 21, 2023 (SD) – -A statement issued by the representative of the international community in Somalia was welcomed for the efforts made by the Somali leaders to promote important issues related to peacebuilding and government formation, including regular meetings of the National Consultative Council.

The international community specifically welcomed the renewed efforts to focus on the constitutional review process, resource sharing, and federal power-sharing and reconciliation, all of which are crucial for ensuring long-term stability in Somalia.

The statement by the international community’s representative called on all stakeholders to actively participate in these efforts and to resolve any conflicts through dialogue and consultation.
