Mogadishu (SD) – The Islamic State in Somalia has claimed responsibility for an attack at the Hosh intersection in Mogadishu on Sunday.
The attack wounded at least three government soldiers, according to the ISIS news agency Amaq.
No further details were released on the ISIS statement.
It is the first attack claimed by ISIS since an airstrike several months ago that killed fighters and members of the group in the mountainous region of Puntland’s Bari region, where they are based.
