Lasanod (SD) – Reports from Las Anod, the provincial capital of Sool region, say that a reporter with Sool regional media, Adam Jama Ogle was shot there last night.

The shooting happened after journalist is said to have been engaged in an argument in public with the armed assailant, its not yet known what the two were arguing about.

Police were dispatched to the scene of the shooting and managed to capture the man who shot the journalist.

Journalist Ogle is currently receiving medical treatment at the Gargar center in Las Anod, as his condition appears to be improving.

The security situation in Las Anod has deteriorated in the last few weeks ever since Somaliland took control of the Region from Puntland close to two decades ago.
