Jubaland accuses Villa Somalia of dismantling the administration’s forces

KISMAYO (SD) The Jubaland regional administration has once again accused President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of attempting to dismantle the administration’s forces, alleging that he is taking actions that could jeopardize the security of the Gedo region.

Jubaland claims that the Federal Government, led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is busy creating security turmoil in the Gedo region, which they describe as part of a sensitive political agenda.

Jubaland further alleges that there is a plan concerning forces intended to secure the region but claims the government will use these forces for personal political interests.

The political conflict between the Federal Government and the President of Jubbaland, Ahmed Madobe, has significantly intensified, with both sides holding strongly opposing views.

The Federal Government of Somalia has previously stated that it does not recognize Ahmed Madobe’s re-election, which is part of the ongoing political dispute in the Jubaland administration.

Additionally, many government troops have been sent to the Raskamboni area, where fierce clashes exist. However, the government troops reportedly faced setbacks in these battles, suffering defeats at the hands of Jubaland forces.

The conflict between the two sides is visibly escalating, with divergent political views concerning the administration and security of the region.
