KISMAYO (SD) – The Jubaland State Police Force in the Lower Jubba region conducted an operation that lasted for 24 hours, resulting in the arrest of individuals involved in human trafficking networks targeting young people residing in Kismayo and other areas of Jubaland.
The Jubaland State Police Force reported that the operation led to the apprehension of 13 individuals, including four directly engaged in human trafficking, while the others were young people intending to migrate abroad.
Among those arrested, two were captured in the Bilis Qooqaani area near the Afmadow district of Lower Jubba region, according to Colonel Mohamed Omar, Deputy Commander of the Jubaland State Police Force in the Lower Jubba region.
