Kenya claims “influential third party with commercial interests for fueling the maritime case”.

Nairobi (SD) – Kenya gave details as to why it has decided not to participate in the maritime case against Somalia, citing unfair allegations against it by the International Court of Justice.

The statement from Kenya comes a day after the conclusion of the ICJ’s hearing on the Somalia-Kenya Maritime case.

Kenya accused an unnamed third country with commercial interests of disrupting relations and endangering the already fragile security of the region.

The Kenyan government says the case has been dealt with immediately and is behind the confrontation between the two countries while completely ignoring the security situation in the region.
